India will host the Women’s World Cup in 2025, Shah said in defence of his choice to not host the competition. The United Arab Emirates and Sri Lanka are two more possible locations for the international event that the ICC is thinking about.
“They (ICC) have enquired as to whether we will host the World Cup. I’ve told you straight up no. Not only will we be in the monsoon season next year, but we will also be hosting the Women’s ODI World Cup. Shah stated, “I don’t want to give any kind of signals that I want to hold World Cups consecutively,” as reported by The Hindu.
