In preparation for the forthcoming Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Rising Stars Asia Cup, which will take place in Qatar from November 14 to 23, 2025, at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a 15-member India A team on Tuesday, November 4.
Naman Dhir has been picked as the India A team’s deputy captain, and wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma has been named captain. Young players Priyansh Arya and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who are both regarded as promising future prospects, will handle the opening duties. With Nehar Wadhera, Suryansh Shedge, Ramandeep Singh, Ashutosh Sharma, and Abhisek Porel in the middle order, the batting lineup gains significant depth.
Yudhvir Singh Charak, Vijay Kumar Vyshak, Gurjapneet Singh, and Yash Thakur make up the pace attack, while Harsh Dubey and Suyash Sharma will be the spin alternatives in the bowling department.
Gurnoor Singh Brar, Kumar Kushagra, Tanush Kotian, Sameer Rizvi, and Shaik Rasheed are the other five standby players that the BCCI has named.
India A has been placed in Group B, along with Pakistan A, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. They play the UAE on November 14 to start their campaign, then Pakistan A and Oman. The game is scheduled for Sunday, November 23.
