BCCI declares cash reward for India's triumphant ICC Champions Trophy 2025 squad.

In recognition of Team India’s victory at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has offered a cash reward of INR 58 crore. The athletes, coaching and support staff, and Men’s Selection Committee members are honored with this financial accolade.

Under the capable and wise leadership of Rohit Sharma, India won four decisive games on their way to the championship match, dominating the competition. After a strong six-wicket victory over Bangladesh to start the season, the team easily defeated Pakistan by six wickets. In the semi-final, they defeated Australia by four wickets after maintaining their momentum with a 44-run victory against New Zealand. With a victory of four wickets in the top match against New Zealand, they secured the title.

“Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special, and this reward recognizes Team India’s dedication and excellence on the global stage,” said Roger Binny, President of the BCCI. Everyone’s behind-the-scenes efforts are acknowledged with the monetary prize. Following our victory in the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup, this was also our second ICC Trophy in 2025, demonstrating the robust cricketing environment in our nation.

“The BCCI is proud to honor the players and support staff with this well-deserved reward,” said Devajit Saikia, Honorary Secretary, BCCI.

Years of arduous work and calculated strategy have led to their domination in world cricket. India’s top rating in white-ball cricket has been validated by this triumph, and we have no doubt that the squad will continue to perform well in the years to come. We are sure that Indian cricket will continue to raise the standard on the international scene because of the players’ unwavering dedication and commitment, which has set a new standard.

Vice-President of the BCCI Rajeev Shukla: “This monetary award is a testament to the team’s exceptional performances during the competition. The players’ achievement serves as motivation for aspiring cricket players across, and they shown incredible poise under duress. The team has once again demonstrated that technique, mental tenacity, and a winning mentality are the cornerstones of Indian cricket.

“The BCCI takes great pride in recognizing the effort and devotion of our players and support staff, and this monetary award reflects our commitment to promoting excellence in Indian cricket,” said Prabhtej Bhatia, Treasurer, BCCI. We are still dedicated to giving Indian cricket the greatest infrastructure and resources possible so that it can maintain its supremacy on the international front. The strength and depth of skill at all levels are further highlighted by this victory.

“Team India looked strong throughout the tournament, and the final against New Zealand was a spectacular game,” said Rohan Gauns Dessai, Honorary Joint Secretary, BCCI. It made the country and Team India supporters around the world very happy and cheery. The strong cricketing system in existence is the reason for this achievement, and we will keep bolstering it to preserve our dominance in the global game.
