According to South Africa captain Temba Bavuma, he will draw inspiration from New Zealand’s historic sweeping victory over India in October and November of 2024. Including two Test matches, the Proteas are getting ready for a multi-format trip of India. Bavuma said he was confident his team could follow in the Black Caps’ footsteps, and he hoped South Africa will win both games and record their own sweeping victory.

In order to get advice on how to defeat India under their own circumstances, Bavuma, who most recently guided South Africa to the World Test Championship championship, also stated that he intends to talk to New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were also commended by the right-handed batsman for helping to make India the strong team it is today. Seeing it as a chance to see the next generation of talent take front stage, he added that he was thrilled to be competing against the young players on both teams.
