Temba Bavuma’s South Africa will try to destroy the Men in Blue in the 50-over format after defeating India 2-0 in a historic thumping. The small cricketer described how the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will increase the intensity of the battle between two cricketing titans ahead of the opening ODI of the three-match series on Sunday, November 30.
The Proteas would have particular tactics in place to stop the two former Indian captains, Bavuma said. Additionally, he said his team is prepared for the battle that awaits them in the intense three-match series.
“Having the two living legends return and perform for a time on Indian soil excites the people, in my opinion. We’ll be really excited about it because there’s a certain kind of atmosphere when those two big players are there,” Bavuma told Star Sports.
Like any other player, we will prepare around them and devise any strategies we believe are required. We anticipate a little different level of intensity, but it’s an exciting one,” he continued.
Nothing much changes for us from the perspective of captaincy: Bavuma
South Africa has won 31 of the 55 ODIs they have played in the nation, lost 23, and had one draw. Aside from this, South Africa will feel very confident after their successful Test series performance. No matter the size of the event or the calibre of the opposition, Bavuma, who has been commended for his leadership skills, stated that his style of captaincy will not alter.
Nothing much changes for us from a captain’s perspective. Before tactically leading the players on the pitch, you want to lead with the bat. That is unchanged,” Bavuma stated.

On Sunday, the JSCA International Stadium Complex will host the first ODI. On December 3 and 6, respectively, Raipur and Vishakhapatnam will hold the last two competitions.
