Watch - Basit Ali remarks on Shoaib Malik harshly on match-fixing

Many of Pakistan Cricket’s players have been accused of match-fixing, and the sport has frequently been mired in controversy. Former players who were found guilty of spot-fixing were Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif, and Muhammad Amir. These players were all banned.

Shoaib Malik has been named the Stallions’ coach for the forthcoming Pakistan Champions Cup, a domestic one-day competition. But Basit Ali, a former cricket player for Pakistan, came out and attacked Malik, saying that someone who has been charged with fixing shouldn’t be in a position like that.

Shoaib Malik allegedly lost a match for Pakistan on purpose, and Basit Ali has evidence to support this accusation. In an interview, he mentioned that Ramiz Raja also faced Shoaib Malik.

“An individual who lacks consideration for the nation ought not to be nominated. The mentor shouldn’t be the person who has acknowledged that he lost a match on purpose. I’ll provide the proof if you want it. Shoaib Malik was interviewed by Ramiz Raja Saheb. How did he say that? In a video that has gone popular on social media, Basit Ali stated.

Basit Ali recently made waves for his remarks regarding India’s 2025 Champions Trophy journey to Pakistan.

Pakistan was selected to host the tournament, but because of political difficulties between the two nations, India has been reluctant to visit Pakistan.

“Now, PM Narendra Modi is responsible for making the final choice. India may go to Pakistan to compete for the Champions Trophy if he grants permission. If not, Jay Shah won’t have an easy time fielding calls once the ball is in the ICC’s court, Basit had stated on his YouTube channel.
