Bangladesh and Afghanistan will play a single Test beginning on June 14.

Afghanistan’s impending tour of Bangladesh will commence with a one-off Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. According to reports, Afghanistan will arrive on June 10, and the first Test will commence on June 14.

Earlier reports indicated that the tour would be concluded in two phases, with Afghanistan departing for India midway through the series to play a white-ball series against the Blue Men.

It has now been confirmed that Afghanistan will depart for India on June 19, following the conclusion of the one-off Test, and return to Bangladesh on July 17 to compete in three ODIs and two T20Is.

Cricbuzz reports that the three-match ODI series will take place in Chattogram on July 5, 8, and 11 respectively. The two teams will then travel to Sylhet to compete in a two-match Twenty20 International series on July 14 and 16.

In the meantime, the majority of the Bangladeshi players who traveled to England for the ODIs against Ireland have returned home, while a few notable figures have remained for a break.

Bangladesh defeat Ireland in the ODI series, 2-0.

Notably, Bangladesh defeated Ireland in a three-match ODI series by a score of 2-0 after the first game was rained out. After being called into bat in the third ODI at County Ground, Chelmsford, Bangladesh were dismissed for 274 in 48.5 overs. Tamim Iqbal scored 69 runs off 82 deliveries to lead his team, while Mushfiqur Rahim scored 45 runs off 54 balls.

Mark Adair was the most effective bowler for Ireland, accumulating 4/40 in 8.5 overs. With half-centuries from Paul Stirling (60 off 73 balls), Andrew Balbirnie (53 off 78 balls), and Lorcan Tucker (50 off 53 balls), Ireland reached 270/9 in their allotted 50 overs in response.

Mustafizur Rahman was the most effective bowler for Bangladesh, taking 4/44 in 10 overs and helping his team win by four runs. The left-handed bowler was also named Player of the Match for his phenomenal performance.
