Babar Azam states his goal for 2023 as "to perform well and win Pakistan the ODI World Cup."

Babar Azam, the two-time ICC ODI Men’s Player of the Year, has made significant personal progress in recent years. The 28-year-old recently talked about his goals for the near future during a conversation.

The 2018 ODI World Cup was mentioned by the right-handed hitter as one of his immediate goals. Babar Azam stated that a world championship had escaped him for a number of years, and Pakistan will have their sights set on the crown with the ODI World Cup due to be hosted this year in India.

“The World Cup is approaching, and my objective is to play well so that we may win it. The ambition is to be a member of the team and to win the competition. You observe a lot of things separately as well, but my current objective is to win the World Cup “In an interview with ICC Digital, Babar remarked.

The approach is to proceed gradually: Babar azam

Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam are the only other Pakistani cricketers who have won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy. In response, he said that receiving praise for efforts made him feel good and added that he hoped the trophy would remain in Pakistan.

Babar Azam believes that because he has twice been named the \Men’s ODI Player of the Year, he is committed to taking each step as it comes.

“We should play a lot of white ball cricket this year since the World Cup is approaching. That is the goal, and when you have a goal, you must go cautiously. Step-by-step movement is the mindset. However, there is preparation and hard work involved “explained Babar.
