Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan sign up for the executive education program at Harvard Business School

Star Pakistan batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan recently made headlines when they became the first players to sign up for Harvard Business School’s executive education program. The program would teach about the business of entertainment, media, and sports (BEMS), which was about to start on a unique journey.

Both batters have already made the trip from Karachi to the United States so that the practice can start. The classes will be held from May 31 to June 3 at the Harvard Business School building in Boston, Massachusetts, where both Babar and Rizwan will be present.

Rashid Latif, a former Pakistani player, went on Twitter to confirm that Babar Azam and Rizwan were going to Massachusetts to go to Harvard Business School.

“Harvard invites Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, and mentor Talha Rehmani to join the elite program. Babar Azam, the number one ODI batter in the world and captain of the Pakistan cricket team, and Muhammad Rizwan, the vice-captain of the Pakistan test cricket team and wicketkeeper, are the first cricketers to join Harvard Business School’s executive education program on The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS). “Talha Rehmani, founder and CEO of Saya Corporation, will be their mentor,” tweeted Rashid Latif.

I never stop learning: Babar Azam

Babar Azam also talked about how happy he was to be a part of the show. He also thought that cricket would make a lot of progress if people learned more about business.

“I am a lifelong student, and Prof. Elberse and Rehmani and I have talked in depth about this program. I joined this world-class school at Harvard because I want to connect, explore, listen, learn, grow, and help people all over the world. Pakistan Cricket quoted Babar as saying, “I’m sure there are a lot of things to learn from the amazing athletes and top business executives from the entertainment, media, and sports industries who are coming from all over the world.”
