A 16-man roster has been selected by the National Selection Panel (NSP) for Australia A’s multi-format series against Sri Lanka A in Darwin the following month.
Jake Weatherald, the 2024–25 Sheffield Shield top scorer, leads a team that consists of both up-and-coming talent and in-form veterans.
In addition to Campbell Kellaway, who made two first-class hundreds during a spectacular summer for Victoria, batsmen Jason Sangha and Kurtis Patterson have also received awards for their outstanding Sheffield Shield performances.
Following successful One-Day Cup seasons, Liam Scott, Bryce Jackson, and Henry Thornton were selected, and the team also includes up-and-coming players Ollie Peake and Jack Nisbet.
Players who already had possibilities abroad were not given consideration for selection. As the season draws to a close, a captain will be revealed.
The Australia A vs. Sri Lanka A series will be aired live on cricket.com.au and Kayo Sports for all five games.
General tickets for the 2025–26 international summer of cricket go on sale on June 13 after the pre-sale starts on June 3.

George Bailey, chair of the selectors:
“We’re excited to play an Australia A series in Darwin and take in the diverse winter climate of the Northern Territory, which offers a range of conditions.”
“We have selected a well-rounded team that offers a variety of alternatives, which we anticipate will be needed throughout the series.
Kurtis Patterson, Jason Sangha, and Jake Weatherald have all had outstanding Sheffield Shield seasons and merited the chance to compete against opponents from around the world.
Furthermore, the team has a lot of up-and-coming talent that will gain from playing with more seasoned players like Nathan McSweeney and Matthew Renshaw, who have a lot of “A” level experience.
“The NSP has collaborated closely with State and Territory associations to ascertain availability and identify players who would benefit from the opportunity, considering the timing of this series.”
“A number of players who already had opportunities abroad or who participated in specialised off-season programs were not selected. As we prepare for the 2027 Border-Gavaskar Series, we expect those players to be available for Australia A’s September visit of India.
