In August, Australia Women's A will play India Women's A in Queensland

The Australian summer will commence with a multi-format women’s A series in Queensland in August. During the season, the home team will play four different Indian sides. The much awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series is set to begin in November, while the Australian Women’s Team will play India in the ODI Series in December. Meanwhile, the men’s A series will come first.

Three different squads have been selected by national selectors for the women’s A series, which consists of three T20 matches in Brisbane, three 50-over games in Mackay, and a four-day tournament on the Gold Coast.
Australian speed bowlers Kim Garth, Megan Schutt, and Tayla Vlaeminck will accompany vice-captain Tahlia McGrath in the white-ball contests. McGrath will also command the T20 and 50-over squads.

Throughout the season, some domestic celebrities will have the opportunity to argue for greater recognition. Two such celebrities are Nicole Faltum, a Victorian, and Charli Knott, a Queenslander, who will assume leadership roles alongside McGrath.

“Being a part of this series and the challenge that India A will present excites me greatly. McGrath stated, “It gives those of us who aren’t participating in The Hundred the opportunity to get ready for a big summer against a formidable opponent.”

A team bouts will take place in the Great Barrier Reef Arena once more. In light of the recent announcement of the T20 Women’s International series between Australia and New Zealand, a statement from Cricket Australia stated that these matches highlight the arena’s capacity to draw elite international events that will benefit the Mackay region and the larger community.

Being able to welcome another Indian side to our shores for what promises to be an entertaining summer is terrific. I anticipate this series to be just as intense as the last ones between the two nations, which took place primarily in Mackay. In addition to providing nationally contracted players with an opportunity to refine their preparations ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup, this series will enable us to examine more closely at some of the individuals who have shown promise at the domestic level,” National Selector Shawn Flegler stated.
