Harry Dixon, a star for Australia‘s U-19 team, committed to the Melbourne Renegades on a two-year deal for the next Big Bash League (BBL) season. In the final round of the previous season, the 18-year-old struck his first century for St. Kilda in the Victorian Premier Cricket. Just a few days later, he performed well in the first Youth Test at New Road, earning scores of 167 and 83.
Fascinatingly enough, when reflecting on recent performances, the dazzling batter revealed that during his most recent outing, while he was playing and there were still about 40 minutes left before play ended, he relied on his hitting abilities and expressed himself freely in an effort to close on to a well-deserved century. Therefore, he finds David Warner to be pretty inspirational when it comes to hitting cleanly.
I may have been on 66 with about 40 minutes left in the day when I hit a few boundaries in one over and promised myself I would reach 100 before the end of play. We went out there [during the second inning] hoping for a little bit of freedom. We didn’t want for it to turn out that way, but when we started drinking, we were both doing really well. It was wonderful to get the boys a day of respite, too, said Dixon to ESPNcricinfo.

Harry Dixon also expressed his respect for the illustrious Australian batter David Warner. The 18-year-old said that one of his career goals is to follow Warner’s progression as a T20 player and see him eventually be able to play across all formats as well as he has. The adolescent is sure that, like the southpaw, he can contribute significantly to Australia.
I have always looked up to David Warner. I hope to have the opportunity to watch him develop as a T20 player and then be able to play all three forms as effectively as he has. He has been outstanding and done a lot for the nation; ideally, I can be somewhat comparable and join the Australian team and participate in all three formats. I’d like to think of myself as someone who might be able to play all three formats in the future. I believe I demonstrated it in the most recent series I played against England, which is fantastic,” he said.
