In the fourth match of the Asia Cup 2025, which took place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 12, Pakistan easily defeated Oman by 93 runs.

They had a rough start to the innings with their batting, as Saim Ayub was out for a duck on the first ball. But Sahibzada Farhan and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris steadied the ship with a partnership of 85 runs off 64 balls for the second wicket. Haris led the Men in Green to a respectable total with a spectacular knock of 66 runs off 43 balls, which included three sixes and seven fours.
The Omani bowlers retaliated in the middle overs, taking wickets frequently and snuffing out any long-term alliances. Pakistan, who were participating in their first-ever edition of the top continental championship in Asia, finished at 160/7 in their allocated overs, with Shah Faisal (3/34) and Aamir Kaleem (3/31) spearheading the bowling performance.
Oman’s pursuit was unsuccessful due to the opposition’s well-organised and deadly spin attack. The side was bowled out for 67 in 16.4 overs despite Hammad Mirza leading the way with 27 runs from 23 balls. Saim Ayub, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Faheem Ashraf were bowling heroes for Agha & Co.; they each took two wickets, while Shaheen Afridi, Abrar Ahmed, and Mohammad Nawaz each grabbed one wicket.
