At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday, September 15, during Match 8 of the Asia Cup 2025 between Sri Lanka and Hong Kong, Nizakat Khan hit a flighted Wanindu Hasaranga delivery over the fence for an incredible maximum.
In their innings, Hong Kong hit two sixes, including this one. The 33-year-old utilised his long reach to knock the delivery into the stands before it reached the pitch.

Anshuman Rath joined the celebration with a beautiful shot off Sri Lankan captain Charith Asalanka in the very next over. Asalanka hit the ball from around the wicket onto the middle stump. As Asalanka’s over went for 12 runs, Anshuman cleared space and gracefully lofted the ball over the extra-cover area.

Hong Kong, meanwhile, finished their innings with 149/4. Nizakat’s 38-ball 52 kept them undefeated. He hit two sixes and four fours in his innings. Only two games short of his half-century, Anshuman was fired. Dushmantha Chameera took a few wickets, but Maheesh Theekshana (0/22 in four overs) proved to be Sri Lanka’s most economical bowler.
