Asia Cup 2025: ACC confirms venues, IND vs PAK set for Dubai

The locations for the 2025 Men’s Asia Cup have been formally declared by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). On September 14, the Dubai International Stadium will host the much awaited group-stage match between bitter rivals India and Pakistan. Afghanistan and Hong Kong will play the opening match of the tournament in Abu Dhabi, while the final is set for September 28 in Dubai.

The ACC has proceeded with venue confirmations amid continuous controversy, despite continued fury in some places over India’s choice to play Pakistan in the tournament, especially in light of the Pahalgam terror assault and India’s retaliation in the form of Operation Sindoor.

The competition, which will take place in the T20 format, is intended to assist countries in getting ready for the ICC T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka the following year. During the competition, India and Pakistan might face each other up to three times. Both teams will play each other again if they make it to the Super Fours, and if they make it to the final, they may play each other a third time.

The dates of the Men’s Asia Cup are September 9–28. India’s campaign will kick off at the Dubai International Stadium on September 10 against the United Arab Emirates.

Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong make up Group B, while India, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman make up Group A.
