According to reports, in addition to the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Punjab Kings (PBKS) reportedly submitted an offer to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) for the seasoned wicketkeeper-batter before to the IPL 2026 auction. This adds another wrinkle to the trade drama surrounding Sanju Samson. There was a time when PBKS was also in the running to sign Samson, despite the fact that CSK is said to have done so.
With his ability to contribute with both bat and ball, Stoinis was an ideal fit for RR’s need for a finisher. Ashwin did not, however, reveal which bowler PBKS had proposed to deal with Stoinis.
