The impact and influence of head coach Ashish Nehra on Mohammed Siraj has been discussed by Gujarat Titans director Vikram Solanki. After winning the 2025 Champions Trophy and being rejected by RCB, the Gujarat Titans pacer has been playing at his best in the 2025 Indian Premier League. He was released by the team prior to the season.
Siraj has already claimed 11 wickets in seven games, including 3 for 19 against RCB at the M. Chinnaswaym Stadium, at an average of 22.81 and an economy of 8.96. He is presently tied for third place in the IPL 2025 in terms of wickets taken.
“I believe Ashish Nehra has had a significant impact on Siraj for a considerable amount of time.
They clearly have a great relationship, but I don’t want to minimise Siraj’s efforts in the least. Naturally, he has the backing of every coach, and Ashish has undoubtedly had a significant impact. On the eve of GT’s away match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Solanki stated, “But we also need to respect and acknowledge the work that Siraj has done.”
When it comes to giving players confidence, I don’t believe there is a greater coach than Ashish Nehra. It appears that we have a man who needs to prove himself. Siraj was undoubtedly unhappy by the Champions Trophy snub, but he has taken it as motivation to work hard and, I guess, to think carefully about his goals. As far as his performance is concerned, he has an excellent tutor in Ashish Nehra. “I hope that relationship lasts a long time and that Siraj keeps doing well,” Solanki continued.
Speaking of GT’s season thus far, they are presently leading the points table after a fantastic performance against the Delhi Capitals in their most recent match. The team captained by Shubman Gill has won five of their last seven games and has continuously maintained their position in the top half of the standings.
