According to Professor Abu Jafar, Director General of the Health Directorate, the health of former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal is getting better. But he also said that the player will have to pay close attention to the next 48 to 72 hours. While participating in the Mohammedan Sporting Club vs. Shine Pukur match in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, Tamim experienced a heart attack. He is being watched in the Savar Hospital right now.
After experiencing pain in his chest, Tamim Iqbal was admitted and required angiography surgery to remove an artery blockage. The cricket player is no longer in danger after the physicians’ successful operation.
“Tamim Iqbal has begun to walk a little and his condition is getting better.
The following 48 to 72 hours are still crucial, though. Before he may resume his regular activities, including sports, he must wait at least three months. Cricbuzz cited Professor Jafar as saying, “We have strongly advised against any premature movements, but his family will make the final decision.”
The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases’ director, Professor Abdul Wadud, also addressed the media and provided information on the player’s health. They have limited the player’s movement until his condition improves since, even though the player’s heart functions normally, there may still be some “abnormal rhythms.”
“His heart seems to be functioning OK, but we need to be caution. Unusual rhythms might still happen. We have cautioned against moving right away. Even if Tamim Iqbal health has improved, it is impossible to rule out a rapid decline. Reducing effort and keeping close observation are essential,” Wadud stated.
In the meantime, Tamim Iqbal posted on Facebook to thank the doctors. “By the grace of Allah and all your prayers, I have come back,” he stated in his letter. “I am fortunate to have had so many kind people by my side during my difficult period. Your diligence and foresight enabled me to get through the situation. I’m asking everyone to support one another. I’d like to thank everyone. Please continue to pray for my family and me. There wouldn’t be Tamim Iqbal without you.
