Arshdeep Singh, an elite pacer, has been playing for the Punjab Kings in the 2025 Indian Premier League. However, His squad has also been having a good time lately, winning four of their last six games. During pivotal moments, the left-arm pacer has frequently leaked runs and hasn’t looked his best.
His lacklustre performances have led to trolls and hate from supporters on social media, where internet users haven’t held back from making fun of the pacer anytime his performances faltered. The cricket player, however, has come to terms with the fact that trolls don’t negatively impact his mental health and that he frequently finds humour and inventiveness in them.
Arshdeep Singh performance is a little worrisome.
“My career has had its ups and downs. In a very short time, I have witnessed both the highest and lowest points. However, I find these trolls to be really amusing. Their inventiveness and memes make me laugh. I used to collect these messages and memes for later use, but now I feel like they don’t make sense. In a “Kandid with Kings” segment on PBKS’ YouTube page, the pacer stated, “But I still like to see people’s inventiveness.”
In addition to the trolls, the Guna native discussed how, despite being one of the team’s younger players, he has already grown up while playing for PBKS. He disclosed that the team immediately made him feel like a senior player by giving him a great deal of responsibility.
I have a lot of responsibility now.
“With the exception of the first year, I have felt seniority in my role ever since I joined Punjab Kings. After my first year with the squad, I began to feel like I had been given a lot of responsibility. I have been a part of this team for the past seven years,” the left-arm seamer continued.
Since I had advanced in my position and developed rather quickly, I realised I couldn’t make a mistake at pivotal moments since failing to carry out the plan may lead the team to suffer greatly. The T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy winner added, “Therefore, I became serious and began feeling like a senior way too early.”
