Prithvi Shaw, a star Indian batsman, was in excellent form when playing for Northamptonshire in the 2023 Royal London One Day Cup in England, scoring a double hundred and a hundred runs. Shaw, however, was forced to withdraw from the event due to a knee injury while in excellent shape. Arjun Tendulkar sent Shaw a touching note wishing him a quick recovery after learning of his terrible incident.
Particularly Shaw Arjun and Shaw have a strong relationship and have known each other since they were teenagers. During the Group B match versus Durham, Shaw was hurt while playing the field. The 23-year-old, though, helped his team reach the target of 199 in just 25.4 overs by scoring a stunning 125* (76) in the second innings. He hit 15 fours and seven sixes in his entire innings.
Shaw was featured in a vintage photo that Arjun Tendulkar uploaded on his Instagram story along with the message, “Stay strong buddy, wish you a speedy recovery.”
He had previously played a brilliant innings of 244 (153) in the previous match against Somerset with the aid of 28 fours and 11 sixes in his innings. His massive performance allowed Northamptonshire to achieve a whopping score of 415/8 in their allotted 50 overs and win the game by 87 runs.
