Amol Muzumdar, India's coach, says the team is ready for everything during the Women's T20 World Cup 2024

It will be fewer than ten days till the ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup kicks off, with Bangladesh playing Scotland.

Amol Muzumdar, the head coach of India, expressed confidence in the team’s readiness for the international competition. He described in detail what was taught at the National Cricket Academy in Benglauru. He was also pleased that hiring a sports psychologist had shown to be a wise decision. The former domestic cricket player received assurances that every groundwork item will be checked off by the squad.

“After losing to Sri Lanka in the Women’s Asia Cup final, we did identify a few things, which we addressed in the next camp. We started with a fielding and conditioning camp. Then we had a skills-only camp for ten days. We also brought in Mughda Bawre, a sports psychologist. She has performed admirably with the team. We concentrated on improving our physical prowess and all-around fielding skills. We also incorporated yoga and psychotherapy sessions. Everything is covered by our preparations. We played five games over the course of ten days at the skills camp with nets. In terms of preparedness, we have checked all the boxes,” said Muzumdar.

The best among our top six is: Amol Muzumdar

Muzumdar, speaking for the team, showed total faith in the middle and upper echelons of the group. He also discussed the hotly contested position of number three, but he held back some information.

“The best are our top six. They have distinct manners and styles. We know who number three is, but we won’t make that known until eleven is declared. In T20 cricket, the third set really wins the match, Muzumdar continued.
