After being spotted leaving the field during the third ODI of the current white ball series against England, West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph made headlines recently. Following a skirmish with West Indies captain Shai Hope, Joseph was spotted hurriedly leaving the field.
In the game’s first innings, the incident took place in the fourth over. As a result of his disagreement with Hope on the field placements, Joseph left the field, much to the amazement of the onlookers.
Alzarri Joseph appeared irritated at the slip fielder’s position when he bowled the over after his initial delivery was diverted onto point.
With a blazing bouncer at 148 km/h, he continued the over and dismissed Jordan Cox. But Joseph seemed unsatisfied and kept arguing with Hope in spite of the wicket.
Speaking on the subject, former England skipper Mark Butcher stated during the broadcast that a bowler’s role is to bowl to the captain’s plans and resolve any disagreements behind closed doors.
“You frequently dispute on the pitch, whether you’re a player or a captain. But either you resolve things in private or you continue working at your job. On-air, Butcher stated, “You bowl to a field when your captain asks you to.”

The West Indies wins the ODI series.
Speaking about the match, the third ODI saw the West Indies perform brilliantly and totally overwhelm England. England started the game by batting first, and both teams advanced to the series final.
Phil Salt scored 74 runs to start the innings, but the remaining batters were ineffective. But while England scored 263 runs in the first innings of the match, Dan Mousley and Sam Curran steadied the batting in the lower middle order.
The Windies made sure the visitors didn’t get back into the game, and England, hoping to protect the target, didn’t impress with the ball.

Brandon King and Keacy Carty began with 102 runs in 117 deliveries and 128* runs, respectively, as the Windies won the match by eight wickets and secured the series.
