He promised that every IPL 2026 match would happen at the location on time. After voting in the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) elections on Sunday, December 7, Shivakumar delivered the statement at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
He flatly denied any worries about the possible relocation of important games, including IPL matches, in the wake of the recent tragedy during the celebration of the RCB victory. In response to questions on the hosting of the forthcoming Women’s T20 World Cup, he also reaffirmed that the state government and authorities will provide complete security and readiness for all significant cricketing events.
“This is an issue of respect for Bengaluru and the state of Karnataka. According to Shivakumar, who was cited by the Tribune, “We will allow whatever matches are available in the coming days.”
