‘We beat Pakistan in all four departments’ -  Ali Khan considers defeating Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024

For Pakistani cricket, the T20 World Cup 2024 was an unmemorable event. Pakistan, under the leadership of Babar Azam, was eliminated from the competition during the group stages and was unable to advance to the knockout stages. The USA’s historic upset victory over Pakistan was one of the tournament’s biggest moments.

After restricting Pakistan to a total of 159/7, the USA appeared to be winning easily as they cruised to 111 runs in 14 overs. However, they were unable to complete the task and instead managed to score 159 runs in the second innings, forcing the match into a super over. But they won the super over with a record-breaking 18 runs, restricting Pakistan to just 13 runs.

Ali Khan, a recent US official, recalled the match and declared that his country had won all the categories against Pakistan.

“They were under pressure; we weren’t. We had confidence in our ability to defeat them. All four categories—fitness included—were won by us over Pakistan. We are more than capable of defeating the Men in Green once more. “With all due respect to Pakistan, I believe we are a very strong team and can defeat any team on our day. If we get to play them again, it will be an exciting match,” Ali Khan was cited as saying.

The United States, who were co-hosting the competition with the West Indies, advanced past the group rounds with outstanding performances. After winning two of their four games, the USA, who were seated in Group A, came in second place behind India.

Additionally, they lost all three of their games and concluded in fourth place in group 2 of the super eight, preventing them from moving on past the super eight.
