‘We don't go out there expecting to do that again’- Alex Carey on bundling India for 36 in Adelaide Test

In the final Test match played in Adelaide during the 2020–21 tour, Team India was thoroughly humiliated. The Virat Kohli-led team was bundled for just 36 runs in the second innings after securing a lead in the first. This resulted to an embarrassing loss. It was also India’s lowest Test score. Despite the visitors’ eventual 2-1 series victory, the “36 all-out” debates have once again heated up the town.

Their 2021 victory has had the Australian media excited in anticipation of their upcoming Pink Ball Test match in Adelaide. The club doesn’t anticipate doing that again in the next Test, which is scheduled to start on December 6, according to keeper-batter Alex Carey, who isn’t intimidated by that. He went on to say that although the players will draw strength from their prior Pink Ball performances, it won’t be simple because the squad is currently behind 1-0 in the series.

It’s true that cricket has had some incredible moments, but we don’t go into the game looking to repeat those moments. We strive to follow our plan and method, and whatever occurs, happens. But that test match wasn’t why I was here. I missed my attempt to enter. It moved too fast. Yes, we are excited, though. I believe that our record with Pink Bull Cricket should give us a lot of confidence, and we do. “I think our methods, our style of play, and the experience we have in this group will bounce back from Perth,” Carey said in a media interview on Tuesday, albeit it doesn’t guarantee success.

From the last game, India is confident. With Alex Carey

With India’s 295-run victory against Australia in Perth, the visitors will feel more confident about performing well in Adelaide. The visitors won’t be haunted by their past performance, Carey said, and he anticipates a fierce battle in the second Test.

It will mentally disturb India, so I’m not sure. No, I believe we are confident, and India is confident from the previous game as well, so I think the match will be fantastic.
