At the North Sydney Oval, viewers saw a strange event during the third One-Day International (ODI) between Australia and South African women. Alana King smashed a six, but the bat also knocked her stumps off. Interestingly enough, Masabata Klaas’ delivery was above the waist, saving King from having to make the trek back to the pavilion. There were splits in the Australian dug-out when the leg-umpire ruled a no-ball.
Alana King, staggering when he struck it against the fence, slowly stood up and laughed with Beth Mooney. Australia scored 277 runs in the first inning as she proceeded to score 17 runs off of 12 deliveries. With the bat, Mooney was outstanding, scoring 82 runs off of 91 deliveries. He is 30 years old. As the opening scored 60 runs off of 73 deliveries, captain Alyssa Healy also appeared to be in excellent form. The hosts put up a respectable total on the board since Tahlia McGrath appeared to be in fine form as well.
South Africa was able to limit the Australians to less than 280 runs because of Klaas’ four wickets during the match. Though Klaas proved to be lethal and Marizanne Kapp, Eliz-mari Marx, Nadine de Klerk, and Chloe Tryon each took one wicket, it appeared at one time that the Alyssa Healy-led team would comfortably surpass the 300-run mark.

Early setbacks for South Africa in a rain-shortened match against Australia
South Africa Women lost early wickets in the third ODI of the series while chasing the run. Laura Wolvaardt, the team’s skipper, was removed after only three runs, thereby preventing her from leading the team to an ideal start. As soon as Anneke Bosch did, the visitors were down to 19/2. Tazmin Brits, 33, was out after scoring 31 runs because she did not take advantage of her favorable middle-of-the-field position. Even seasoned activist Kapp struggled to get rolling since she was unable to open her tally.
The series is currently tied at one wicket, and South Africa will need to win the last few overs with an incredible performance from their guests.
