After LSG vs. MI in the IPL 2024, Jasprit Bumrah gives Yash Thakur and Mayank Yadav some wise counsel

Following the IPL 2024 match between MI and LSG, Jasprit Bumrah was spotted mingling with LSG pacers. LSG moved up to third place in the points table with a four-wicket victory over MI. In spite of the defeat, Bumrah bowled admirably, giving up just 17 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket. The world’s best bowler by tradition is the Indian pacer.

Kids adore picking his brains. To transfer the torch from his generation to the next, many experts, however, felt that Bumrah needed to be approachable and provide the younger people opportunities to learn from him. It appears like the MI pacer has heard the feedback. Recently, the right-arm pacer created a YouTube channel where he probably will upload recordings of himself bowling.

Bumrah was observed giving advice to LSG’s young pacers following their match against MI. The 30-year-old, sporting a purple cap, was spotted nodding his head in agreement with the great pacer’s notes to players like Mayank Yadav and Yash Thakur. The LSG coaches were standing next to him. The video was uploaded to social media by the IPL’s official account.

The presence of an experienced pacer such as Jasprit Bumrah encouraging the younger pacers to keep improving was commendable. Yadav bowled brilliantly in the encounter against MI. After giving up 31 runs in three overs, the young pacer removed Mohammad Nabi from the game. He was able to continuously reach speeds of above 150 kmph even after recovering from his injury. Naveen-Ul-Haq was substituted for Yash Thakur during the match against MI.

Our most recent game left us utterly disappointed: Justin Langer

Justin Langer was present at the post-match conference after the game. After bowling three overs, Mayank was injured and had to go back to the dugout. Regarding Mayank’s injuries, Langer was questioned. The LSG coach claimed not to have spoken with Yadav. Mayank was experiencing some minor pain on his side, the Australian said. He didn’t think it was necessary to put the young player at danger, which is why the team didn’t ask him to bowl the fourth over.

“I haven’t really talked to him at all. He reported that there was some minor soreness in his side following the first ball. Even so, he’s still a young man, so there was no need to take the chance,” Langer added. He continued by discussing Yadav’s bowling. Justin continued, saying that a right-arm pacer needs more than just pace, and he would pick up more knowledge over time. Mayank was urged to simply enjoy his bowling by the former Australian hitter.

“It goes beyond merely the tempo. He demonstrated his versatility in this game by bowling over 150. He will gain more knowledge on when to bowl as he plays more. We have now given him the freedom to just have fun and bowl as he pleases,” Langer continued in his statement.
