After England’s 3-0 victory over the West Indies, what is the current standings in the WTC?

Following England’s comprehensive three-match Test series win over the West Indies, there have been some adjustments to the World Test Champions (2023–25) points table standings. Even though England had already won the first two Tests in the series, the WTC standings meant that the third Test in Edgbaston would still have a significant impact on both teams.

Having lost 19 points due to slow over-rates throughout the competition, England was bottom of the WTC rankings heading into the season. Even though they defeated the Windies in the first Test at Lord’s, their situation remained unchanged.

But the outcome of the second Test at Trent Bridge gave them a huge boost in the rankings. With the victory at Trent Bridge, England’s points percentage increased from 25% to 31.25%, while the West Indies’ dropped from 26.66% to 22.22%. With five victories in 12 games, England has surged to sixth place in the standings following the Edgbaston Test, which caused the largest shift in the rankings.

With six wins in nine games, India is presently leading the table; Australia is in second position with eight wins in twelve games. Speaking of the West Indies, after only one victory in six games, the team is currently bottom of the standings. They’ll be hoping for better performances starting on August 7 in the forthcoming series against South Africa.
