The International Cricket Council’s (ICC) female employee who allegedly complained of harassment at work has been making headlines. There are several rumors that the employee penned some letters to express dissatisfaction.
She had not emailed them, but had delivered them to a senior ICC official.
The staff member reportedly feared that her correspondence would be monitored by administrators at the top cricket regulating body, which could lead to even more issues for her. But much to her surprise, neither the CEO nor the chairman of the top cricket organization, the ICC, have yet to take any official action in the case. The staff member’s concern is only acknowledged in the email correspondence with ICC’s legal counsel.
She chose the traditional route out of concern that the powerful individuals in the International Cricket Council could have been able to follow her correspondence. The entire complaint was prepared, printed, and handed to a senior ICC official in person, according to the source, who was quoted by CricketNext.

She initially reported official harassment in 2021, at the T20I World Cup in the UAE. She reported the event, but hasn’t heard back from the top officials of the premier cricket organization.
It was never going to be easy for her to battle such a huge institution, let alone those in the senior leadership. Then there was always the worry that the events at the ICC would have an impact on future career chances. This accusation against that ICC officer is not the first to be made, the insider claimed.
Two of the ICC’s top officers were reportedly ordered to take action in this regard, according to other reports. However, no legal action has been taken against the same, and no committee has been established to look into this subject.
