Abhimanyu Easwaran Reacts to West Indies Test Omission

Regarding his omission from India’s selection for the current series against the West Indies, Abhimanyu Easwaran has spoken out. Easwaran is yet to play for India, having made his debut at home in December 2013.

Abhimanyu Easwaran acknowledged that it was quite painful at times, but he was thankful for his family and friends’ unwavering support and motivation for the future.

Yes, it can hurt at times. You practice hard and put in a lot of work, and your goal is to be in the middle, to perform and help win. However, I’m lucky to have a strong network of friends, family, and a coach. They support my motivation and sense of reality. I’m in a good frame of mind right now and am excited for the Ranji season,” Abhimanyu Easwaran said, as reported by Revsportz.

After every failure, the Bengal veteran acknowledged that he works hard and is a lifelong learner. He also disclosed that he is working on a few shots in preparation for the season.

“I try to keep my attention on the things that I can manage. Train better, put forth more effort. Yes, occasionally it hurts, but that’s normal. Continually developing is the only way to solve this. I’m working on a few new images this season, but I won’t tell you which ones (laughs), but I’m hoping they turn out good. Playing for India is the main incentive. It gives me great pride, even when I play for Bengal.

Therefore, it in and of itself makes me happy,” Abhimanyu Easwaran said.

In 180 innings, Easwaran has amassed 7954 runs at an average of 48.50 in 105 First-Class games thus far. The thirty-year-old has been picked for multiple India A matches. But he hasn’t made his national debut yet. Easwaran was been included in the Rest of India team for the Irani Cup 2025.
