Aakash Chopra decodes Sanju Samson's problem and expects him to fire in Bangladesh's T20Is

In 30 Twenty20 Internationals, superstar batsman Sanju Samson scored 444 runs at an average of 19.30 for India. The keeper-batter has been included in the team, and skipper Suryakumar Yadav has stated that he would begin the innings alongside Abhishek Sharma in the first Twenty20 International against Bangladesh in Gwalior. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill have been rested for the Test series against New Zealand.

Aakash Chopra, a former cricket player, commented on the subject, saying that the Kerala native is a fantastic player with immense power who can be useful in the three-match series. But he figured out that the 29-year-old’s hard-charging style frequently has a price, and he doesn’t really add anything. For the same reason, Samson never plays consistently for the Indian squad.

“Ruturaj Gaikwad was participating in the Irani (Cup), and since you did not select him, Sanju Samson is the only player remaining.

On his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra stated, “He has batted down the order at Nos. 5 and No. 6, opened, and played at No. 3.

He is a powerful and amazing player. He gives the impression that batting is really easy when he scores runs. But the issue with him is that he takes too many shots. After he leaves, you ask, “How did you do that, Sanju? This was an opportunity, and you just let it pass,” Chopra continued.

Samson is expected to play all three games and has a decent chance to perform well and guarantee his spot in the starting XI because there are no additional openers named for the series. With the departure of veteran players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from T20I it may be Samson’s finest opportunity to establish his worth and earn a spot by putting up strong performances.

In the meanwhile, the spinners should benefit from the Gwalior surface. Samson will be confident about taking full advantage of the opportunity because he is a skilled spin player.
