Is it even necessary? - Aakash Chopra opines on Sanju Samson's father's recent controversial statement

It’s Sanju Samson‘s best. The Kerala batsman recently got two consecutive hundreds in Twenty20 Internationals. He started the first Twenty20 International of the current four-match series in the Rainbow Nation by scoring 111 off 47 balls against Bangladesh and then a fantastic 107 off 50 balls against South Africa. Against Zimbabwe in a T20I in 2015, Samson made his debut for India. Even though the batsman is having the time of his life playing for India, he has recently made news for another reason.

Since then, the batter has had sporadic appearances for the Indian squad. His large following on social media consistently calls for the batter to receive adequate support. Fascinatingly, Samson’s father recently claimed that prominent Indian players and previous players were preventing his son from receiving adequate opportunities. However, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra called the statement “unnecessary.”

“The father of Sanju Samson made a really intriguing statement. He inserted Ji after the names of Rohit, Dravid, Dhoni, and Kohli, claiming that they had ruined ten years of his son’s career. I begin to question whether it’s really required. Chopra posted on his YouTube channel, “I will be completely honest.”

In the example of Yograj Singh and Yuvraj Singh, we witnessed this: Aakash Chopra

on the other hand, recognised the worry and connected the typical paternal feelings to their respective children. Furthermore, he referenced the notorious interviews with Yograj Singh, in which the former cricketer for India claimed that Yuvraj Singh’s career had been ruined by MS Dhoni.

“I can tell you that fathers are biassed since I am a father. We cherish our children above all else, and we don’t perceive any flaws in them. My father must be the same way. He may be arguing that Aakash was wronged and that he ought to have been given more chances, Chopra noted.

This was seen in the cases of Yuvraj Singh and Yograj Singh. After Yograj Singh says anything, Yuvi is puzzled about what he should say. Since he doesn’t think that way, he tries to distance himself from it.

The dads’ remarks are therefore ineffective. What will it bring you? Chopra came to the conclusion that whatever had happened was over.
