In the current IPL 2025, the five-time champion Mumbai Indians (MI) are having a lot of trouble assembling the ideal squad. Aakash Chopra, a former cricket player for India, cited Rohit Sharma’s subpar play as a major factor in MI’s tournament defeat. This season, the player hasn’t scored many runs, which has upset the team’s balance.

“Hardik Pandya is playing wonderfully, while Naman Dhir is batting brilliantly. So far, Will Jacks has failed to score any runs. In the last game, you dropped him down the order, but Naman Dhir goes too low because Rohit Sharma is opening and he isn’t playing well. “I don’t know how Mumbai will manage Rohit Sharma for the entire season if he doesn’t score runs,” the Agra native continued.
Regarding the Mumbai Indians’ current campaign, as of Match 32 of the lucrative league, the team is ranked eighth on the Points Table. They must win at least five of their remaining games with a bigger margin in order to guarantee a spot in the playoffs, which can increase their chances of qualifying. Even with a superb batting lineup, runs must come from the top to start the innings well, whether they are setting a target or even chasing. Their bowling department appears to be strong.
