Players from South Africa voiced their ideas about great Indian batsman Virat Kohli ahead of the crucial match. Even with his poor performance in this event, opponents still respect Kohli because of his reputation and previous achievements.
India and South Africa, the two undefeated teams, will play each other in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. This match between two of cricket’s biggest names seems to be an exciting one.
The best fast bowler in South Africa, Kagiso Rabada, complimented Kohli, stating, “It’s Kohli who keeps doing it, isn’t it? He is the finest. He, nevertheless, helps his team win games. In a Star Sports video, Kagiso Rabada proclaimed, “He’s the rock.”
Similar thoughts were expressed by Captain Aiden Markram, who said, “I mean, his record speaks for itself. Many players, I believe, are inspired by the capacity to continuously compete, to always strive for improvement, and to always raise the bar.”
Prominent hitter David Miller said, “I just enjoy his fiery character, his competitiveness, and the will to win.”

Virat Kohli was praised even more by Keshav Maharaj, who said, “He’s a legend of the game and to still be doing it at optimal.”
He’s not young nor elderly, but at this point in his life, some could have answered, “Certainly,” but in my opinion, his level of talent, fitness, and enthusiasm for the game just serve to refute those claims. And for that reason, he is most likely who he is now.”
Kohli’s mentality was emphasised by South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, who stated, “It’s just his mindset and the way that he operates on the cricket pitch.” That distinguishes him from the other guys. Thankfully, I’ve also played with him, so I’ve had the opportunity to get to know him a little more on a personal level. I therefore sort of know what to do, if only to try to get him to think differently.”

After finishing IPL 2024 with an incredible 741 runs, Kohli earned the Orange Cap. However, he has not performed well in the T20 World Cup. Kohli has failed to repeat his IPL success in seven games. Still, there is no denying his ability to change the course of the game. All eyes will be on Kohli to see if he can recover his form and lead India to win as both teams prepare for the final.
