India pacer Yash Dayal has experienced ups and downs in the past few years. His path has been nothing short of inspirational, from being struck five times in a row by Rinku Singh in the IPL to his perseverance in getting back on track.
Yash Dayal was called up to the Indian squad for the first time in his Test career as the team got ready to play Bangladesh in a two-game Test series. Dayal called his father, Chandarpal Dayal, as soon as he was chosen and let him know the news.
“I didn’t receive another call from India for two years.” Dayal informed his father, as reported by the Indian Express, “This is for a Test match, the format you love the most.” It is noteworthy that Dayal was selected for the 2022 ODI series against Bangladesh but was unable to play because of an injury. It’s interesting to note that the UP pacer suffered a great deal from the horrible IPL 2023 experience.

“Well, all three of them were excellent, but Yash’s proficiency with the red ball and his consistency worked to his advantage. Compared to Arshdeep and Khaleel, Yash Dayal has played more first-class cricket, the official stated.
