Dhruv Jurel produced a really strong performance in the gloves during the Duleep Trophy 2024 match between India A and India B at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. He also tied one of the records held by the great MS Dhoni during the exciting match.
Gloveman Jurel, playing for India A, claimed seven catches in the second innings of India B, limiting the Abhimanyu Easwaran-led team to 184. With this feat, he tied MS Dhoni’s record for the most wicketkeeper catches in an inning at the Duleep Trophy. When representing East Zone versus Central Zone in the 2004–05 Duleep Trophy, the previous captain of India accomplished the same thing.

The 22-year-old Jurel caught Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish K Reddy, Sai Kishore, and Navdeep Saini, among other important dismissals. His outstanding work behind the stumps was crucial in assisting India A in limiting the target to 275.

India A lost the wicket of Mayank Agarwal in the second over while chasing 275 to win. Just before the tea break, Rahul reached his half-century, while Kuldeep has showed good fortitude despite taking a few blows to the body. With all three outcomes still up for grabs, the match is intriguingly set up for the decisive session. India B needs four more wickets to win, while India A needs another 143 runs.
