Bangladesh’s next red-ball assignment is against India, following their rout of Pakistan in the two-match Test series. After defeating Pakistan for the first time in the longest format, the team made history, and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto stated that they will take that energy into India.
Ebadot Hossain, Bangladesh’s main bowler, was not available. In July 2023, during Bangladesh’s home series against Afghanistan, the 30-year-old collided with the umpire. He had so suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Ebadot hopes to board an Indian flight, if nothing else, so that his progress may be tracked after more than a year away from the field.
“Recovering from the kind of injury I suffered takes a long time. It’s a challenging moment. Recuperation won’t take too long at this point.
According to The Daily Star, Ebadot Hossain stated, “I’ll play and try to do well.”
“I’m adhering to the regimen that the fast-bowling coach, trainers, and physiotherapists gave me. I have not received authorisation to bowl at my all-out intensity. I’m currently bowling at a 70–80% clip. Perhaps the team will take me to India. There, I’ll have assistance with my bowling. There, the physicians and physical therapists will be keeping an eye on me. Perhaps for that reason, they’ll take me. There, I’ll have my fitness test, and after that, they’ll decide,” he continued.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sources suggest that a decision regarding the pacer who would travel with the team to India has not yet been made. For those who are unaware, Bangladesh will begin their two-match Test series on September 19 in Chennai, with the first Test set to begin.
