After his century in the Duleep Trophy, Musheer Khan said, "Rishabh bhai and Shubman bhai gave me insights."

On the opening day of the ongoing Duleep Trophy, Musheer Khan was unbeatable. After Abhimanyu Easwaran left in the first hour of the day, he came out to bat and went on to dominate the rest of the day. Wickets dropped rapidly from one end, but Musheer took his time, performed well, and used his century to save India B.

At one point, the squad was down to 94/7 and needed something special. At that moment, Musheer and Navdeep Saini formed an important partnership, and on the first day of play, India B passed 200 runs.

The pace three of Avesh Khan, Akash Deep, and Khaleel Ahmed—who were outstanding in the day’s opening two sessions—were well-matched by the Mumbai batter. As the day went on, it was anticipated that spin specialist Kuldeep Yadav would cause him problems, but Musheer was very at ease facing him.

When discussing his strategy for handling Kuldeep, Musheer gave credit for the insights to his more experienced teammates, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill. He claimed that after the two helped him comprehend Kuldeep’s bowling, the young player unleashed mayhem.

This is my second encounter with Kuldeep bhai. I gained insight into which of Kuldeep’s deliveries would be effective and which ones I could score off from Rishabh bhai and Shubman bhai. Batting got simpler once I got set, Musheer was cited by India Today.

It’s a fantastic experience to play with and against more experienced players. I’m improving as a cricket player by seeing their attitude, self-assurance, and preparation,” he continued.

My goal was to bat for as long as I could: Musheer Khan

In addition, Musheer disclosed his strategy, saying he intended to bat for as long as possible. The 19-year-old said he made an effort to play shots close to the body and steered clear of dangerous shots since he believed the runs would ultimately come in.

“I wanted to bat without thinking about the runs as long as possible. To avoid taking chances, I was concentrating on playing each session as it came up and keeping the ball close to my body. Musheer remarked, “I knew the runs would come eventually.”
