The Pakistan vs England series is expected to move to the UAE or Sri Lanka

A three-match Test series between Pakistan and England is scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 7. The series is dubious, though, as unfinished stadium preparations raise the possibility of moving the games to Sri Lanka or the UAE.

This series is a continuation of the WTC cycle. The first test was slated to take place in Multan from October 7 to October 11, with the second and third tests to follow in Karachi and Rawalpindi. As the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) gets ready the aforementioned venues for the Champions Trophy 2025, building is now underway in all of them.

which is scheduled to take place from October 3 to October 20 and coincide with the Pakistan-England series, the UAE is still being considered.

Therefore, PCB’s intentions to host the Champions Trophy would be severely hampered if building were to stop in order to play the Test series. A further issue has been the entrance of England’s Barmy Army fan club, as it is not practical to host the matches without a crowd.

The PCB is searching for other locations where the series can be hosted in light of these problems. Though there are some scheduling difficulties because of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.

PCB has contacted ECB about possible other locations.

After some talks with the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board), a final decision on the topic will be made in the coming days. It’s interesting to note that Pakistan will enter the series fresh off a defeat to Bangladesh in two tests.

After losing to Bangladesh, the team’s confidence will be severely damaged; yet, they would want to play their best game against England and cause an upset. The location of the series’ finale has not yet been determined, but an announcement is anticipated shortly.
