Naimur Rahman, the director of BCB, resign, citing personal reasons

In addition to altering the administration, the student uprisings in Bangladesh also brought about numerous changes inside the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). As protests erupted against former PM Sheikh Hasina, Nazmul Hassan, a close ally, resigned as BCB President and was replaced by former Bangladesh captain Farooque Ahmed.

A number of other board members who held administrative authority were also removed as a result of the developments. Big figures resigned from their jobs because of the BCB’s support of the Awami League Party, which the populace turned against.

“Personal factors are behind my resignation. I want to express my gratitude to BCB for providing me with the chance to work in a variety of roles during the previous ten years. As stated by Naimur, “I have really enjoyed working here and am grateful for all the opportunities the Board has given me as chairman of BCB’s Cricket Operation and High Performance Unit.”

A recent development is the resignation of BCB Director Naimur Rahman.

As a former national captain, I did everything in my power to support the growth of cricket in Bangladesh. In addition, I want to express my gratitude to the councillors who chose me to represent them on the board. I would love to work for Bangladesh Cricket again if BCB needs me in the future,” he continued.

Following his nomination as president, Farooque has been outspoken regarding the shifting of the winds. He even shifted his attention to Chandika Hathurusingha, the head coach of the Bangladeshi team, and made a formal request for his dismissal.
