Dwayne Bravo, the all-around player from West Indies with a captivating personality, has declared his retirement from the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) after the 2024 season. The 40-year-old veteran made this touching statement only hours before the Trinbago Knight Riders, their team, took on the St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots in Basseterre as part of the CPL 2024 season.
In addition, he made sure to thank his supporters and remind them that he announced his retirement from professional cricket in front of the home crowd. Bravo holds the record for most wickets taken in T20 history, which is extremely noteworthy. The determined pacer’s 630 wicket haul over his T20 career is a fitting testament to his greatness in the game.

Dwayne Bravo has taken the most wickets in CPL history.
The manner Dwayne Bravo has performed in the CPL is nothing short of remarkable. He has been an important participant in the league since its creation. The all-rounder, with 128 scalps in 103 games at an average of 22.40 and an economy rate of 8.69, is now the greatest wicket-taker in the CPL. With 630 wickets in 578 appearances, the Trinidadian-born player is also the top wicket-taker in all of T20 cricket. In the format, he has amassed 6,970 runs while holding the bat.

In addition to the CPL, Bravo has left his imprint in other prestigious tournaments including as the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he played in four championship teams with the Chennai Super Kings prior to his retirement in 2023. In addition to dazzling fans with his skill on the pitch, he has captivated onlookers with his dance movements and elevated West Indies cricket to a global prominence.
