In the midst of the flooding in Vadodara, Gujarat, left-arm spinner Radha Yadav of India requested help and has expressed gratitude to the National Disaster Response Force for their assistance.
“We were in a terrible predicament. Yadav wrote on Instagram on Wednesday night, “Thank you so much, NDRF, for saving us.
In the footage she posted, the surrounding surroundings are shown to be underwater, and rescue workers are seen floating nearby on rafts. It also shows people wading through chest-high water.
Recent days have seen flooding in a number of Gujarati localities. According to estimates on Thursday, accidents related to rain and flooding have resulted in the deaths of 28 people and the forced relocation of approximately 18,000 others to safe regions.
Yadav is a member of the 15-person Indian team that will compete in the October 3–7 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup. India’s first matchup is against New Zealand on October 4, joining the likes of reigning champions Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand in their group.

Yadav’s most recent match was in the women’s Asia Cup semi-final, where she claimed three wickets against Bangladesh. For India, Yadav has taken 90 wickets in 80 T20Is. With just one wicket in four ODI matches, her outings have been more sparse.
