Adam Finch, a pacer for Worcestershire, has decided to postpone his knee surgery until the end of the current domestic season. The 24-year-old will be eligible for the County Championship campaign finale and will try to help his team in their struggle to maintain their place in the elite division.
It’s important to note that Adam Finch hasn’t played in the Championship at Visit Worcestershire New Road since his loss against Surrey at the end of June 2024.
A meniscus tear and a double tear to the knee capsule were discovered by the scans, and Finch needs to have his meniscus operated on. He will then need extensive rehabilitation. Finch wants to put the significant loss behind him and support his team in battling relegation. Having lately been clean and shared his strategy, let’s hope that everything went as planned.
“I’m planning to postpone surgery until after the season in the hopes of finishing these games before having it done. According to the doctor and Andy Powell, Head of Sports Science and Medicine, it’s going to be a lengthy recovery, so the sooner I can finish it before the season ends, the better, Finch was cited by the Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
“However, I wanted to try and help the squad stay up basically in any way that I could if it was possible. We have had this as our main goal for the entire year, and I wanted to be as involved as possible if I could. It seems like Leachy (Joe Leach) should be well as well, so I’m good to play versus Kent. He continued, “I really just want to get back and support the guys in any way I can.”

It’s important to remember that Finch claimed 13 wickets in six games prior to his injury, and he claimed 28 wickets in seven County Championship games last season.
