Sarfaraz Khan, an Indian wicketkeeper-batter, had to wait a long time for his debut, which came earlier this year in the Test series against England. He eventually realised his childhood dream of representing his country in front of his father and coach Naushad Khan after a protracted and arduous struggle.
In the England series, Sarfaraz made 200 runs in five innings with three half-centuries. He hasn’t played competitive cricket since. Sarfaraz will captain Mumbai in the Buchi Babu tournament in Tamil Nadu. The Duleep Trophy, which is scheduled to serve as a stage for the players to push their claims in the three-match Test series against Bangladesh, will take place after the Buchi Babu competition.
Sarfaraz might, however, miss out on a middle-order position given the abundance of options the Indian team now has available to it. Sarfaraz, on the other hand, has “zero expectations” and is unaffected by anything. He stated that he would be more than willing to contribute if given the chance, but he did not assume any responsibility for being chosen.
“I don’t have any expectations, but I’ll be prepared should the chance present itself. Sarfaraz told The Indian Express, “I’ve been doing it all along, and I don’t see any need to modify it.

Sarfaraz also talked about his feelings of gratitude after a protracted wait to be given the chance to serve his nation at the highest level. Additionally, he described his first-ever experience as an Indian white batsman and shared his mental state with the audience.
“For some people, their career breaks extremely quickly. There are those who must wait. In my situation, it’s lucky that it took longer since I was able to play a lot of domestic cricket and that experience improved my batting. I was anxious throughout the first three deliveries after making my debut. But from then on, I was in command. In Test cricket, I was doing the same thing that I used to do at the county level.

I had everything well in mind. Sarfaraz continued, “I wasn’t focused on the opponent or the bowler. Sarfaraz has an extremely remarkable record in the domestic game, amassing 4,112 runs at a respectable average of 68.53 in 71 innings.
