In September, Team India will resume red-ball cricket after a protracted white-ball season when they host a two-match Test series against Bangladesh. India wants to win the World Test Championship 2025, a title they have failed to win in the finals twice over the years, and they will aim to maintain their top spot in the table once the Test season returns. India might miss having its main pacer general available, even if Bangladesh is probably going to field their best frontiers.
Jasprit Bumrah, the top pacer for India, may be rested for the series, according to sources.
The action follows the intention to install certain new components to strengthen India’s pace battery. Arshdeep’s potential to produce his best performance to date has led India’s former bowling coach, Paras Mhambrey, to be less interested in fielding him as a Test bowler. Bumrah, on the other hand, was given a break for the Sri Lankan tour and is a valuable asset for the Indian squad before the pivotal Australia tour.
It will be up to Bumrah to decide whether or not to participate in the Test match against Bangladesh because he is the one who understands his body the best. For each of the five Test matches against Australia in Australia, the team management and selectors have made it apparent that India requires a 120 percent fit Jasprit Bumrah.
