Amidst mounting turmoil, Danish Kaneria asks PM Modi to "intervene immediately to protect Bangladeshi Hindus."

Bangladesh has been rocked by student protests that have caused widespread instability and forced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to leave the nation. Almost 300 people have died as a result of the unrest that started with the youth’s demand for more equitable access to government jobs. According to a number of reports, the country’s Hindu minority have been targeted. Former Pakistani cricket player Danish Kaneria has asked the Indian government to defend these groups and has also warned them of similar consequences back home.

The protests in Bangladesh were allegedly orchestrated by China and Pakistan’s ISI, which also provided backing to terror organisations that opposed India. Social media users are sharing recordings of radical organisations targeting minority populations and Hindu temples. Hindu Premier of India Narendra Modi was encouraged to step in and support Bangladesh’s Hindu community by Kaneria.

“India, take heed: There are people in your country who want things to become like Bangladesh.” Danish Kaneria said on X (previously Twitter): “Watch out for people who want to stir up trouble for their own purposes.

“To defend Hindus in Bangladesh, I implore @PMOIndia to act right away. We can’t let radicals take advantage of our fellow humans. #PreserveBangladeshiHindus,” he commented on another X post.

Here are Danish Kaneria’s latest posts on ‘X’:

Miscreants burned and robbed the properties of Hindus.

During a recent protest, miscreants set fire to Mashrafe Mortaza’s house, the former captain of Bangladesh. Furthermore, in as many as 27 districts, a number of Hindu homes and businesses were also plundered. In addition, a temple dedicated to Kali was set on fire.

“The gods Lord Jagannath, Baladev, and Subhadra Devi were among the items that burned in one of our ISKCON centres that we rented in Meherpur. Yudhistir Govinda Das, an ISKCON spokesman, tweeted, “Three devotees who resided in the centre somehow managed to escape and survive.”
