An intriguing conversation between captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul during the first One-Day International (ODI) between India and Sri Lanka at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium on August 2, 2024, exposed the distinctions between international and IPL cricket regulations.

Amidst the uncertainty, the 32-year-old was observed enquiring of Sharma regarding the potential to review the broad decision, making reference to the Indian Premier League’s regulations (IPL).
Teams are permitted to review wide and no-ball calls in the IPL. In international cricket, there isn’t a mechanism in place to review these calls. The Indian players had a brief on-field chat as a result of this disparity, during which Rahul appeared to support a review based on his IPL experience.
