In the final dress rehearsal of the Tri-Series, India will need to switch their batting gears

When India top-order plays South Africa in the final dress rehearsal for the women’s tri-series on Saturday, they will be expected to take a more fearless approach than they did in their previous match.

Due to West Indies’ inability to defend their title, the final will be played between India and South Africa on February 2.

In India’s most recent league match, which was against the West Indies, if it weren’t for the veteran partnership of Smriti Mandhana and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian team would have had a difficult time posting a score that was competitive.

Although it is expected from both of them that they will perform well for the club on a consistent basis, the captain will be looking for exceptional work from the younger players.

Yastika Bhatia, who is opening the innings in place of Shafali Verma because she is unavailable, has not been successful in attacking the bowlers during the powerplay.

With all due respect to South Africa and West India, a batting strategy that is identical to theirs could end up costing them dearly in the 2019 World Cup when up against more formidable opponents like Australia and England.

It is necessary for the club to locate another middle-order power batter given that Richa Ghosh is now away representing India U-19 alongside Shafali.

Amanjot Kaur, a newcomer, made a strong showing in her first competition and is probably itching to try out the long handle once more.

Since the home series against Australia, Jemimah Rodrigues has continued to have a terrible run, and she needs to find some runs in order to be successful in the ICC event that will take place in one month.

After her last two attempts, Harleen Deol will get a third chance to shine in this game and create a positive impression on the audience. In spite of her fitness, all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar has not yet been given a game, but it is possible that she may play on Saturday.

After going wicketless in her first game back after an extended absence, Shikha Pandey, who just made a surprising comeback to the national side, would be expected to produce early breakthroughs.

South Africa will be seeking to make atonement after suffering a defeat at the hands of India in the opening match of the tri-series. The two teams will meet again in the final.

In order to ensure their spot in the championship match, the hosts defeated West Indies by a score of 10 wickets. Teams (coming from)
