Even though Vishmi Gunaratne and Kavisha Dilhari only managed one run apiece and zero runs, respectively, Harshitha Madavi and Anushka Sanjeewani scored 26 and 31 runs, respectively.

Sri Lanka won their opening match of the tournament, defeating Bangladesh by seven wickets in the preceding match. Due to their higher Net Run Rate, they will advance to the postseason with a victory over Malaysia.
