Sneh Rana is certain that she would succeed in the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which is set to take place in Bangladesh later this year, despite having experienced a great deal of grief. Rana used the Indian men’s team as an example, who haven’t won an ICC championship in more than ten years. The Men in Blue were the favourites, but they lost often before winning the T20 World Cup in 2024.
India has had multiple previous trips to the ICC trophy under the direction of Mitahli Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur, but they were unable to capture the gold. They were defeated by Australia in the final of the 2020 T20 World Cup and by England in the 2017 ODI World Cup. They were forced to settle for a silver medal after losing to Australia in the Commonwealth Games finals.
She went on to say that major things take time to accomplish. The 30-year-old discussed the value of making sacrifices and fighting for the country to achieve significant goals.
Over the last two to three years, the Indian women’s cricket team has been performing to the best of their abilities. Taking the men’s team as an example, it took them over ten years to win the ICC title. They have been putting a lot of effort and preparation into it for a long time,” PTI cited Rana as adding.
In order to do something significant, time is needed. Time will be needed for it. It will require a great deal of effort, sacrifice, and everything in between. But we’ll get there eventually,” she continued.

The Indian women’s squad has received a lot of flak for their subpar fielding. Prior to their Asia Cup opener, Rana accepted that and said that everyone is playing with their all on the pitch, especially when they are representing their nation.

“Error rates increase when we play N matches in a row. However, it does not imply that someone is incompetent. Of course, as a player, you want to always give your all for your nation while you’re on the pitch. Nobody is around to reassure you that everything will work out (ho jayega). However, it can simply be the case that someone is having a rough day,” Rana continued.
